Data Center Reboot – 4.5× More Compute, Lower PUE

“Cooling is no longer just a utility. It’s a compute enabler.”
– Molten Dynamics
AI clusters are pushing past megawatts per rack. GPU density is rising. And the cooling infrastructure that used to be an afterthought? It’s now the bottleneck between performance and failure.
The good news: you don’t need to rebuild your data center to stay ahead.
Molten Dynamics’ liquid metal cooling unlocks 4.5 times more thermal headroom using your existing infrastructure, reducing your PUE, increasing performance per watt, and allowing you to scale compute without scaling chillers.
The Problem: Traditional Cooling Is Out of Headroom
Today’s Tier IV facilities are excellent at keeping racks under 25°C ambient. But inside the node, it’s chaos:
- Air cooling chokes at ~300W per unit.
- Water cooling taps out around 1000–1200W.
- New chips are running at 2000W and rising.
If the coolant loop can’t extract heat fast enough, the silicon slows down. And throttling means wasted capex.
Worse: increasing cooling power usually means higher energy bills, more maintenance, and increased facility complexity, all of which hurt your PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness).
The Molten Dynamics Advantage: 4.5× More Heat Removed
Instead of chasing diminishing returns from air or water:
- We use liquid metal coolant, with 50× the conductivity of water
- Our closed-loop system integrates directly into facility PG25 or water loops
- In benchmarking, we’ve shown 4.5× higher thermal transfer compared to water at the same geometry
What that means:
- Higher rack density
- Higher chip power without throttling
- Lower facility-wide cooling load
- Better PUE, without new HVAC systems
